Iša z Rexovy ohrady (pronounced Eesha) is a powerhouse of a female who is built like a male. A sable female on the larger side, she hits that helper like a freight train. It does not affect her athleticism or ability to work at all. Iša is an import from Slovakia who is titled to a ZVV 1. Her mother Cirra z Rexovy ohrady is full littermate sister to the sire of one of my other females, Andy Datema. I was intrigued to have a cousin to Andy because I loved Andy so much, so we had Iša tested extensively to see if she would be the right fit for our program. After seeing her long bite one time, I was totally sold. Her work is only one part of the equation though, and the puppies she produces have solidified her as an important producer to this breed and our breeding program. Everyone who says they want a “real” dog, well, Iša produces them. If you don’t believe me, ask the owners of her puppies and the decoys who work them! At the same time, they can go home and be a well rounded family member who is capable of living with their family and doesn’t have to be locked away from the kids. We will be keeping back one or more of her puppies to carry on her genetics. In the right hands, these dogs really impress!
